Bio Jan Felba

Jan Felba received his M.Sc. degree in 1970, PhD degree in 1979 and Dr. Sc. degree in 1997 from Wroclaw University of Technology, Wroclaw, Poland. In 2011, The President of Poland awarded him the title of professor of technical sciences. Since 1970 he has been employed at Wroclaw University of Technology in the Institute of Electron Technology — presently Faculty of Microsystem Electronics and Photonics. Since November 1999 he has been the head of the Laboratory of Interconnecting and Packaging Electronic Circuits.

His research is generally connected with electronic packaging. He is involved in designing the methods for optimization of technological processes oriented into long-term-reliability, lead free soldering, and polymer and flexible electronics with special emphasis on electrically and thermally conductive adhesives for microelectronic interconnecting. He is also involved in the research activities concerning polymer composites filled with nano-sized particles for electronics, e.g. ink-jet printing technology.

He is the Editor-in-Chief of Materials Science-Poland — an interdisciplinary Journal of Physics, Chemistry and Technology of Materials edited by De Gruyter and a head Division of Scientific Periodicals at Wroclaw University of Technology. He is a member of Scientific Committee of Centre for Advanced Materials and Nanotechnology and member of Polish Chapter of the International Microelectronics and Packaging Society (IMAPS). He is also a member of Polish Vacuum Society and Wroclaw Scientific Society.
